I am an inexperienced website owner. All the problems I've had once I signed up with Namecheap were responded to and resolved by their customer service. The support staff are courteous and very helpful.

My experiences with NameCheap have been good overall. I have been with them on and off for about 6 years and they are a solid hosting company. Customer services seem to be getting a little worse this year with longer waiting times. I have never asked for a supervisor as there was never a need to do that. I just wait and nearly always get through to the right team. I did have one website (I have had ) hacked and they fixed it very quickly. Hosting is fairly quick and up time has been fine. I did try two different hosts that have top ratings but both let me down within three months so I ended up back with NameCheap

I have bought quite a few domains from them over the years and their price is really competitive. Their customer service staff was very knowledgeable and helpful too. For hosting however, they seem to be not so competitive.

The only thing was that they charge for things like SSL cert which many other sites are giving for free.

Good services with low prices, Free whois privacy for lifetime as well. Excellent UI and domain management interface. Just need to add more domain extensions in ccTLD as .eg .com.eg .com.br and so on.

Good for domain names, not so good for emails. Low level of support, but prices are competitive.

After 9 months of use.. I'm not satisfy with Namecheap hosting service, I move all my websites to other hosts. Namecheap is good for VPN and domains registration, but not for hosting.

NameCheap is a well-known service provider with a good history of service. They should be concerned with some issues, but for many users overtaking the opposition. They are one of the better known domain registration services, so it might be good to combine all your hosting services into one company.

Namecheap is one of the best domain registrars out there, but it is quickly gaining ground in the hosting services as well. Versatile and affordable, its hosting packages are attracting a lot of attention.

A budget web host you might actually want to use

Namecheap offers great value with its shared hosting in particular, but we found speeds to be disappointing with the starter plan. There's a 30-day money-back guarantee period, and we'd recommend spending as much of that as possible confirming Namecheap is fast enough for you.

Pros

Very low prices

Starter plan hosts up to three domains

Well-designed cPanel-powered site management

Configurable VPS plans

Cons

Free domain is for specific TLDs only

Underpowered 'managed WordPress' plan

Few advanced features or extras

Poor shared hosting performance during testing

Namecheap is best known as a domain registrar, but its web hosting plans might catch your eye, too. A year of shared hosting for just $1.44 a month - really?

This 'only' gets you 20GB storage and 30 email accounts, but that's enough for many sites, and there are plenty of other highlights: unmetered bandwidth, a free domain name with privacy protection, a free website builder, easy installation of WordPress and hundreds of other popular apps, free integration with Supersonic CDN, the industry-standard cPanel control panel, 24/7 support via live chat, and a 30-day money-back guarantee.

WordPress

Namecheap's managed WordPress hosting range, EasyWP, is a little short on features. Sure, WordPress comes preinstalled, but there's no smart updating system, no staging environment, no bundled plugins or anything even faintly advanced.

Servers

Virtual Private Server (VPS) hosting plans improve your site speed and reliability by giving it guaranteed CPU time and RAM, avoiding the fights over resources that you'll usually get with shared hosting.

Namecheap's small VPS range starts at just $11.88 a month on the annual plan for its 2 core, 2GB RAM, 40GB storage and 1TB bandwidth

Namecheap isn't quite as cheap as it looks (extras like SSL bump up the price on renewal) and the cheapest shared hosting plans were slower than most. There's still real value here, though, and if your needs are simple, or you're just looking for a low-cost way to learn the hosting basics, Namecheap deserves a closer look.
